Phub Dorji is a passionate filmmaker and Managing Proprietor of PD Production, a production house that has produced five feature films and TV series for BBS television. With a deep love for storytelling and the art of filmmaking, Phub has made significant contributions to the Bhutanese film industry.

Born and raised in Bhutan, Phub received his early education from Samtengang Primary School in Wangdue. From a young age, he was drawn to the world of film and entertainment, and he began to pursue his passion in earnest after completing his education. Over the years, Phub has acted in about 15 feature films and 2 television series for BBS, showcasing his skills as a versatile actor with a range of talents. However, his true calling was behind the camera, and he soon shifted his focus to producing and directing films.

Under PD Production, Phub has produced several successful films and TV series, earning critical acclaim and praise from audiences. His ability to tell compelling stories and his eye for detail have made him a respected figure in the industry. Phub has also been committed to professional development and capacity building, attending various seminars and workshops organized by The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to enhance his skills and knowledge. This commitment to continuous learning and improvement has helped him stay at the forefront of the industry and adapt to changing trends and technologies.

In addition to his work in the film industry, Phub is also an active member of the community, volunteering his time and resources to support local causes and initiatives. He is deeply committed to promoting the arts and culture of Bhutan and using film as a medium to share the country’s rich history and traditions with the world.
